Nymphalidae databases

Niklas Wahlberg

One of the greatest challenges for human kind at the moment is how to organise and keep track of all the information that we have generated. Databasing is now a very productive way to do this and there are many databases on the internet that allow one to search for information. There are a growing number of databases related to (but not necessarily restricted to) Nymphalidae that are publicly available. Below is a list of links to such databases, although in the future one can conceive of a single metadatabase which is able to harvest information from separate websites into one place, much like the one on the GBIF web site.
