Timing of divergences in Nymphalinae
Timing of divergences in Nymphalinae
Timing of divergences has been studied in detail by Wahlberg (2006) from which the figure below has been taken. The results suggest that the divergences of the ancestors of extant tribes happened at the Paleocene/Eocene boundary. The red bars are Bayesian credibility intervals for the age estimates. See the article for details of methods.
